


On the camcorder screen you'll see a message that reads, "FW Update" then gives two options "Yes" or "No".Follow the instructions given by unpluging the USB cable and powering on the camcorder.When the files have been successfully transferred you'll see the message shown in Fig.You will see the messages shown in Fig's 2 and 3. Next the application will copy the firmware (FW) update to the SD card in the camcorder.(Note: If you see a message that says the update is NOT needed this means the camcorder has already been updated.) If the camcorder does need the udpate you will see the image shown in Fig. The file will expand, then check the camcorder to see if it needs the update.

Double-click the Firmware executable file (the file you downloaded.).Plug the Camcorder into a Windows based PC (desktop or laptop) using a Micro SD to USB cable.Make sure there is an SD card in the camcorder with at least 30MB of available storage space on it for the update.Make sure the camcorder is fully charged (you do NOT want the camcorder to stop in the middle of the update process.).The file will be Titled: "Battery Enhancement (followed by the version number)" You'll want the file for your specific camcorder. Download the Firmware update file from the Toshiba Support Website ( //).Update the Firmware in the Camcorder by installing the Firmware update Titled: Battery Enhancement. The X series Camileo Camcorders (X200, X400 and X416) have an issue that dos not allow them to realize their maximum battery life potential.
